The New London Garden Club holds its 42nd Annual Antique Show and Sale, this Saturday July 26, 2008 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Town Green, Main Street, New London. The 75th Annual League of New Hampshire Craftsmen's Fair is coming up beginning Saturday, August 2nd through Sunday, August 10th, 10 am - 5 pm and held again at the beautiful Mount Sunapee Resort in Newbury, NH in the Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee Region. More than 350 state-juried mebers of the League will display and sell their handcrafted items; Event, exhibits availalable. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students, children 12 and under-free: Tickets provide entry for two days. August 23, Saturday~ THE 35th ANNUAL APPLE PIE CRAFT FAIR takes place on the Newport Town Common from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is named for the absolutely delicious homemade apple pies that bakers from all over town lovingly create and sell to benefit the Library Arts Center. A big part of the fair is the Apple Pie Contest, that is judged the day of the fair by local luminariesl, after which the prize-winning pies are then sold by the slice. This truly town-wide event also features 90(!) booths of crafts, "The Firemen's BBQ", music and entertainment for all.
